Ready, set, go Golden Hawks! For the first time in its history, Laurier’s Brantford campus is home to varsity sports.
This past September, two varsity sports began in Brantford – men’s indoor soccer and men's and women's cross country, which are classified as tournament sports under the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA).
"As the student population has grown at Laurier Brantford there has been more interest expressed in having varsity sport as a point of pride for the community,” said Laurier Director of Athletics Peter Baxter. “The intent is to add other sports once the YMCA-Laurier Brantford sport and recreation centre is open and sufficient resources are in place to support them.”
