For the second year in a row, Laurier has been ranked No. 1 in Canada in its category for student satisfaction in the annual Maclean’s Rankings of Canadian Universities.
Laurier is ranked No. 1 in eight out of 10 student-satisfaction categories and No. 2 in the remaining two. Laurier is ranked No. 1 for course instructors, academic advising staff, extracurricular activities, residence living, student-life staff, mental-health services and administrative staff and bureaucracy (least red tape). Laurier ranked No. 2 for experiential learning and for steps to prevent sexual assault.
In the overall rankings, Laurier moved up three spots to No. 6 nationally among the 15 Canadian universities in the “comprehensive university” category. Laurier ranked in the top five in its category nationally for student awards, scholarships and bursaries, and faculty awards. Among Ontario universities in the comprehensive category, Laurier moved up one spot to No. 4.

Maclean’s comprehensive category includes 15 universities across the country with a “significant degree of research activity and a wide range of programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including professional degrees."
