Alumni, faculty, staff and students gathered in April to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Languages and Literatures at Laurier.
A dinner reception took place in the Paul Martin Centre. The purpose of the get-together was to reconnect with former students, hear their success stories and inspire current students. The many testimonials presented suggest that Languages and Literatures graduates are making the most of their degrees in an impressive variety of careers.
Alumni who returned for the event described how their studies at Laurier set them on many unexpected and rewarding paths. Current Languages and Literatures students made the most of the networking opportunity.
In his remarks, Dean of Arts Richard Nemesvari gave voice to the deep sense of community for which Laurier is well-known.
The Languages and Literatures reception was made possible by the generous support of Laurier Alumni and the Faculty of Arts.
