Doug Downey (BA '92) was appointed attorney general in the Ontario Progressive Conservative government. Downey, who represents the riding of Barrie-Springwater-Oro-Medonte, was first elected to the Ontario Legislature in the 2018 provincial election.

Graham Jeffery (BBA '05) has been elected to the Automotive Industries Association board of directors. Jeffery serves as vice president, automotive merchandising division, with Canadian Tire Corporation.
Jeff Klein (BBA ’98) has been named senior vice president of global marketing with Little Caesars. Klein was most recently chief marketing officer for global food service with PepsiCo.

Jason McDonell (BBA '96) has joined Advance Auto Parts, Inc. as executive vice president and chief marketing officer. McDonell most recently served as Canada president and general manager for PepsiCo Foods.
Heather-Ann Mendes (BBA '01) was one of six new justices appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice in May. Mendes has been in private practice in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., since 2005, focusing on family and child protection law.

Rod Phillips (MBA ’92) was appointed minister of finance in the Ontario Progressive Conservative government. Phillips was elected to the Ontario Legislature as the member for Ajax in the 2018 provincial election.
Hayley Russell (MSc '10) was named winner of the Gustavus Adolphus College 2019 Swenson-Bunn Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence. Russell is an assistant professor of health and exercise science at the St. Peter, Minnesota, institution.
