For the second year in a row, Laurier has been named one of Waterloo area’s top employers by Canada’s Top 100 Employers, an editorial competition that recognizes the nation’s best places to work.
“This award celebrates progressive, forward-thinking organizations that foster healthy workplace communities, which is exactly what we strive to be,” said Laurier President and Vice-Chancellor Deborah MacLatchy. “Laurier’s incredible employees have built a collaborative, supportive multi-campus community in which to educate our students.”
The Canada’s Top 100 Employers competition recognizes leading national and regional organizations that offer exceptional workplaces for their employees. Organizations selected for the awards redefine how people work and live by developing and adapting policies and procedures to meet the changing expectations of the workforce.
Laurier was named one of Waterloo area’s top employers by Canada’s Top 100 Employers for a second time.
While the recognition is awarded at a regional level, it is based on the university’s efforts across all of its multi-campus locations.
“We are proud to be recognized as an organization that truly values its employees,” said Pamela Cant, chief human resources and equity officer. “Laurier’s focus is ensuring our faculty and staff feel engaged, enriched and appreciated so they can provide the same positive experience for our students.”
