Jamie BelcherFTI Consulting named Jamie Belcher (BBA ’03) a senior managing director in its Toronto corporate finance and restructuring practice. Belcher possesses more than 15 years experience in transaction advisory, corporate finance and accounting roles.

John Billowits (BBA ’94) has been appointed to the board of directors of Computer Modelling Group Ltd. Until 2020, Billowits served as chief executive officer of Vela Software, a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc.

David BoreckyMustGrow Biologics Corp. announced the appointment of David M. Borecky (BBA ’06) to its board of directors. Borecky currently serves as vice president and chief accounting officer at Impossible Foods Inc.

Catie Busch (BBA ’08) was appointed chief financial officer of Cervus Equipment Corporation. Busch joined Cervus in June 2014 and previously held roles of financial responsibility and leadership including senior financial analyst, finance and reporting manager, and director of finance.

Phil CookPhil Cook (BA ’87, DipLBU ’88) was named the Women's National Basketball Association's (WNBA) chief marketing officer. Cook's previous experience includes more than 20 years working with Nike.

Noluthando GosaNoluthando Gosa (DipLBU ’91) has been named independent non-executive director of MTN Group, Africa’s largest mobile operator. Gosa has enjoyed success as an entrepreneur and currently serves as chief executive officer of Akhona Group.

Leanne HallFirst Mining Gold Corp. announced the appointment of Leanne Hall (BA ’95) to its board of directors. Hall, a member of Laurier's Board of Governors, currently serves as chief executive officer at Creative Fire.

 Todd JohnstoneTodd Johnstone (BBA ’93) joined technology solutions provider Allbridge as the company's chief executive officer. Johnstone most recently served as CEO of Global Knowledge.

Wendy Kaufman (BBA ’89) has been appointed chief financial officer at Canada Nickel Company Inc. She previously served as CFO at Khiron Life Sciences Corporation and has held CFO and senior finance positions at Pasinex Resources Limited, Primero Mining Corporation and Inmet Mining Corporation.

David Lowenstein (BA ’85) joined the board of directors of Cosmos Holdings Inc. Lowenstein is a seasoned entrepreneur who has taken several companies from startup to IPO and served on the boards of several NASDAQ and TSXV companies.

Candace MacGibbonOsisko Gold Royalties Ltd. appointed Candace MacGibbon (DipLAC ’99) to its board of directors. MacGibbon, chief executive officer of INV Metals Inc., is a chartered professional accountant with more than 25 years experience in the mining sector and capital markets.

Nancy McKenzieNancy McKenzie (BBA ’88) has been appointed to the board of directors of Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Inc. McKenzie is a former senior financial executive with extensive experience in industrial manufacturing and service businesses.  She currently also serves as chair of the board of governors at the University of British Columbia.

Caroline Cole PowerCaroline Cole Power (MBA ’96) was named among Canada's most powerful women as part of WXN's 2020 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards. Since launching Canadian HR Solutions Inc. in 2010, Power has expanded the company’s footprint to 10 Canadian cities and established a national facilitator network to serve clients across the country.

 Sharmilla RasheedSharmilla Rasheed (MBA ’03) has taken on the role of vice-president of finance and operations at the University of Guelph. Rasheed previously oversaw finance, environmental services, information technology, risk and performance management at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph and St. Joseph’s Lifecare Brantford.


Steve RidoutSteve Ridout (BBA ’93) has been appointed detachment commander with the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police. Ridout has been a member of the Ontario Provincial Police for more than 25 years.

GameSquare Esports Inc. announced the appointment of Neil Said (BBA ’02) as chair of its board of directors. Said possesses an extensive background in corporate law and governance.

Greg SmithGreg Smith (BBA ’98) has been appointed chief operating officer, Canada with Crawford and Company. Smith joined Crawford and Company in 1998 and most recently served as chief client officer, Canada.

Jill TettmannThe YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka named Jill Tettmann (MA ’91, BA ’87) its new chief executive officer. Tettmann previously served as CEO of the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network from 2012 to 2019.

Northisle Copper and Gold Inc. announced the appointment of Nicholas Van Dyk (BBA ’05, BSC '05) as vice president, corporate development and investor relations. Van Dyk is a public company executive with more than 15 years experience in corporate development, finance and investor relations with a focus on the mining industry.

Susan WellsSusan Wells (MBA ’04, MSW ’94) has been named the new chief executive officer of Family Service Ontario. Wells joins the organization after serving at Haldimand Norfolk REACH for the past 20 years.

Carolyn WilkinsIntact Financial Corporation announced the appointment of Carolyn Wilkins (BA ’87) to its board of directors. Wilkins previously enjoyed a distinguished 20-year career at the Bank of Canada, including serving as senior deputy governor for six and a half years.

Westbridge Energy Corporation announced the appointment of Marcus Yang (DipLAC ’95, BA ’93) to its board of directors. Yang possesses more than 20 years of banking and corporate finance experience gained at global financial and banking institutions.
